PhD Student Seminar 2026 at the Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University
On 8 June 2026, the PhD Student Seminar was held at the Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The event was organized by the Institute of Pharmacology, the Institute of Medical and Clinical Biochemistry of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ, and the Technology and Innovation Park UPJŠ.
Among the presenters was RNDr. Kristína Felčíková, a PhD student from the Center for Interdisciplinary Biosciences (CIB), TIP UPJŠ, who delivered a presentation entitled “LOV Domain-Based Photosensitizers for Photodynamic Therapy.” The lecture focused on the development and characterization of protein-based photosensitizers for applications in photodynamic therapy and highlighted current research findings generated at the Center.
The seminar provided PhD students with an opportunity to present their scientific results, engage in professional discussions, and exchange experiences across various fields of biomedical research. The event also contributed to strengthening collaboration among individual research groups and supported the professional development of early-career scientists.
