Conference EASTMED 2026 ''Where Science Meets Business''
The EASTMED 2026 conference brought together experts from academia, innovative companies, and the technology sector in Košice, with the aim of creating new opportunities for collaboration in medtech innovation and biotechnology.
The event provided a platform for discussing how to translate research results into practical applications, connect scientific teams with the needs of industry, and build partnerships that can contribute to the further development of the region’s innovation ecosystem.
The programme featured expert presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, bringing together representatives of universities and research institutions, technology companies, startups, and investors.

The conference was organised by Košice IT Valley and the Technology and Innovation Park of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ) under the auspices of the APBC – Advanced Protein Biotechnology Consortium project, led by Prof. RNDr. Erik Sedlák, DrSc., Head of CIB TIP.
The event brought together experts and representatives of organisations and companies including Enantis, DNA ERA, UVP TECHNICOM, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, GreenPharm, and Crowdberry.
