CIB members joint Biochemistry congress in Prague - Czechia

 

The members of CIB attended „FEBS3+ Meeting: XXVIII. BIOCHEMISTRY CONGRESS of Czech and Slovak Societies for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of their establishment and in participation of Polish and German Biochemical Societies.

 

 

 

The CIB researchers actively participated in this meeting by two lectures and three poster presentations

 

 

Under the support of Advanced Protein Biotechnology Consortium: A Model for Supporting Economic Growth and Mitigating Brain Drain in Eastern Slovakia (APBC) project through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia  prof. RNDr. Erik Sedlák, DrSc. presented a lecture: “Evolution of Haloalkane Dehalogenase by Ribosome Display“, and Mgr. Mária Tomková, PhD. presented a poster: “Directed Evolution of Staphylokinase Improves Fibrinolytic Activity“.

The team of RNDr. Veronika Huntošová, PhD. has presented the results achieved during implementation of the project supported by EU NextGenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia under project number 09I03-03-V04-00007: Breast cancer organoid on a chip for fluorescence lifetime imaging of autophagy and apoptosis induced by targeted treatment with designed ankyrin repeat protein.

 

Dr. Huntošová presented the lecture titled: "Modular Carrier Systems for Targeted Cancer Treatment with Multimodal Coverage in Detection and Photodynamic Therapy“. MSc. Gulyásová presented a poster: "Multimodality of Hypericin Loaded Upconversion Nanoparticles for Photodynamic Therapy of Breast Cancer“, and MSc. Alexandra Poliaková presented a poster: “Identification of Protein Conjugates Designed for Targeted Photodynamic Therapy of Breast Cancers“.
