CIB members joint PMEA conference in Bialka Tatrzanska - Poland

Second occasion of Porous Materials for Environmental Applications (PMEA) conference was organized during 15th-19th March 2026 in Bialka Tatrzanska, Poland.

PMEA 2026 served as an international platform that not only showcased the latest advances in porous materials and related fields but, crucially, strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling knowledge transfer, joint problemsolving, and the formation of new research partnerships across chemistry, materials science, environmental science, and chemical engineering.

The team of RNDr. Veronika Huntošová, PhD. has presented the results achieved during implementation of the project supported by EU NextGenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia under project number 09I03-03-V04-00007: Breast cancer organoid on a chip for fluorescence lifetime imaging of autophagy and apoptosis induced by targeted treatment with designed ankyrin repeat protein.

Three posters and one presentation were presented in PMEA meeting by project members RNDr. Silvia Tomková, PhD., Mgr. Alexandra Migasová and Dr. Huntošová.

Mgr. Migasová presented the presentation and poster titled: "Cysteine-Functionalized UiO-66(Zr)-NH2: Synthesis, Characterization and Potential for Improved Bioconjugation and Targeted Delivery “.

Dr. Tomková presented the poster titled: " Nanoparticles designed for targeted therapy of cancer “.

Dr. Huntošová presented the poster titled: "Modular particles for advanced bioimaging and photodynamic therapy“.

Beautiful nature and scientific excellence created together place for fruitful discussions and promising collaboration within preparation, investigation and applications of porous material in biological and environmental systems.
